Description
TAq DNA polymerase is a highly thermostable DNA polymerase from the thermophilic bacterium called Thermus aquaticus. The enzyme catalyzes 5′ to 3′ synthesis of DNA, wildtype enzymes normally have no recorded 3′ to 5′ exonuclease activity. However, the CapeSprint Taq DNA polymerase has been tested to exhibit a low error rate as compared to other Taq polymerase on the market. Therefore, it demonstrates a rare and 3′ to 5′ exonuclease activity, making it unique among other Taq polymerase variants.
CapeSprint is designed for these applications:
- Routine PCR amplification of DNA fragments upto 6kb
- Colony PCR
- Crude samples (lower purity samples)
- Generation of PCR product for TA cloning
- DNA labeling
- DNA sequencing
- Short-and long-range amplifications (up to 6kb)
